My adventure into dairy goats began when I clipped an article on how to make farmers cheese with fresh goats milk. I so enjoy growing a garden to produce food for our table, canning, raising chickens for fresh eggs, and a fattened steer for the freezer. I thought a dairy goat would fit in perfect with my goals of a homesteader lifestyle. So began my search for a dairy doe. There is nothing like having fresh milk for your household and being able to make butter and cheese. The left over whey from the cheese makes a wonderful homemade bread. Dairy goats are a win win for the homestead. Saanens are easy keepers and a joy to raise.
I am no different than most goat owners. Over time your herd grows and you strive to improve. I have tried to bring in quality bucks to continue improving my herd. Please visit our doe and buck pages for more info on our herd.
